Relocation Assistance

According to the Employee Relocation Council, nearly one million Americans relocate for the purpose of a job each year. The process of seeking, accepting, and then beginning a new position evokes a range of emotions and raises many questions. While the new employee is settling into his or her new role, they and their spouse or partner may have to handle issues such as finding a new home, placing children in school, or adjusting to the new community.

Possessing the information to make informed decisions can lessen anxiety and ease the transition to the new community and career. For that reason, East Carolina University’s Pirate Relocation Assistance Program provides a variety of services to meet both the personal and professional needs of prospective and recently appointed staff and faculty and their family members. Our goal is to ensure that the transition to life as part of the East Carolina University community is as comfortable as possible.
